History

Getafix Mobile cycle mechanics was first conceived in 2005.
Bike repair was confined to workshops at that time, so a mobile bike mechanics service to your door was an obvious convenience, especially for those with unmovable bicycles or for those unable to reach a local cycle shop.

Brighton is a green, bicycle friendly city, so its residents soon appreciated a mobile cycle service offering mobile bike repairs that cycles to your workplace or home.

When the company started, flyers were the main way to advertise the new mobile cycle maintenance company. These were posted through doors, displayed in shops or given out via Bikeability training company Bike For Life, as a mobile bike mechanic was often requested during training.

With the advance of the web, a user friendly website was established in 2008 and the majority of work for mobile cycle repairs now comes via this route.
