Getafix Cycles has been Brighton & Hove's mobile bike repair service since 2005. We come to your home or your workplace, service your bike on the spot, and we do the whole thing by bicycle — no vans, no motorbikes, no exceptions.
Repairs by a mechanic who teaches
Every repair is carried out by a qualified mechanic who teaches cycle maintenance for a living. Bruce has been an instructor on Bike For Life's mechanics courses since 2000 and has run their training centre since 2003. You are not getting a volunteer or a Saturday helper.

Light Service — tune-up, brakes, gears, chain · £40
Heavy Service — full strip-down, cables, bearings, wheels · £70
Puncture repair at your location · £30
Emergency bike unlocking · £50
Prices are time-based, so an unusual job is quoted fairly rather than forced into a package. You get a no-obligation quote on arrival, before any work starts, and you only pay when you’re satisfied.
How it works
1. You call. We ask a few quick questions about the bike so we bring the right spares.
2. We arrive within the agreed hour. By bike. We take punctuality seriously.
3. We quote before we touch anything. No obligation, no pressure.
4. We fix it while you get on with your day. Most work is done on the spot.
5. You pay when it’s done — and get a two-week guarantee. If something isn’t right, we come back free.

The greenest bike service in the city
We think a bike repair service that turns up in a diesel van has missed the point. So we don’t. Our mechanic arrives on two wheels, our cleaning products are biodegradable, and we recycle parts wherever they can be safely reused.
